As many of you know, I’m involved in a direct sales company, Mary & Martha. And while I’ve done a few companies over the last 10 years, this is by far the very best one I’ve been with and the one I will be with for the rest of my time in direct sales. Why is that?
Let me share a few things with you about why I do this:
It’s allowed me to connect with my purpose in life. I want to serve others and really make a difference. Mary & Martha allows me to do just that through sharing products that bring hope & encouragement to every home every day.
It has strengthened my personal faith. Prior to Mary & Martha, yes, I had faith, but I found I didn’t speak of it publicly as much as I do now. And I believe that has a lot to do with being with a company where that’s simply what we do.
The company says “Our mission is ministry, our method is business, and the message is always Jesus.” I love that we really can operate our business as a ministry, helping others. It makes such a difference. That has shown itself as my community sponsored books for our local battered women’s shelter, as we send care packages to the families who lost children in Uvaldi, and as we sponsored encouragement books for teachers and stuffed animals for our local child advocacy center. There are so many ways! And in all of that, it shares that hope we have in our faith! How cool is that?!
I’ve met so many like-minded people! It’s often said that companies become like family. In this company, we have a true sisterhood. We learn together, laugh together, and pray together. I love that each and every kit that goes out to a new consultant is prayed over at the office before it leaves. I love that our meetings end with prayer and there is comfort to know that those in our home office are praying for our businesses every single day.

This picture is my team! All of these awesome women, working together, each with different reasons for being here, and I get to have a very small roll in helping them succeed with the things they want. Our team is called Team 2911 because of the verse Jeremiah 29:11. We believe God always has a plan for us, a plan to prosper and not harm us, to give us hope and a future! I love this group and being able to interact with them and do business and ministry together. They bless me every day.
